One of our favourite times of year in Brisbane is July – we escape the Melbourne winter and bask in the warm Queensland sun while eating and drinking local delicacies at the annual Regional Flavours Festival. This wonderful event is held along the beautiful South Bank Parklands, bringing together a serious affair of FOOD, WINE, and Festivities. Running across
two epic days, Saturday July 20 and Sunday, July 21. Together with the talented Amy McKenzie we had the pleasure of partnering with Regional Flavours to bring guests a truly wonderful experience and epic space to enjoy what was on offer.
With a fresh new marketing campaign each year set by Brisbane Marketing the brief is clear. This vibrant and organic new look was the key inspiration for the overall direction, colour palette and feel of many areas throughout the festival. Its important guests feel comfortable and at home while visiting the Regional Flavours festival, whilst we are also pushing the design boundaries to inspire and stimulate the senses.
This year, we integrated vibrant purples, tones of peacock and hand drawn elements. Textures of velvet, wood and metal all helped create an earthy and organic feel while still remaining sophisticated and exclusive in many of the VIP areas.
In the Hunting Club our newest collections Harvey and Villa featured as the hero and was boldly contrasted with our velvet pieces from our Madison collection. Wild florals and foliage surrounded the marquee, beautifully arranged by the amazing team at Flowers of the World. Bold hanging installations from the beams or the marquee helped bring the space together – we were loving the use of our Harvey Lamp shades.
Each section of the festival was reflective of a different colour palette. Queensland Taste, The Main Stage, Picnic Patch and River quay – all looked wonderful, with an abundance of fun, food and excitement.
